The Bordessa Family: July and August....too busy!

These past 2 months have been busy for us, hence no blog update in 6 weeks! Yikes! I had 2 business trips taking me away for 2 long weeks, once in July and just last week here in August. Thank goodness for Grammy and Pommy who helped out with the kids so Jarrid wasn't overwhelmed! THANK YOU!! We also got away to San Diego and Nipomo for a week in July to celebrate my dear friend Tiffani's wedding. It was wonderful! I stayed with Angela and Patrick in Carlsbad, who came out from South Carolina, at the beautiful resort Aviara now a Hyatt property, we had an amazing time. And it was truly so relaxing! Jarrid had to stay home last minute so it was a mommy only trip and I left the kiddos with Pommy and Papa in Nipomo.
Breastfeeding came to abrupt end with all this travel, but nine months of nursing was good for me, and I actually dried up the same time with Gianna, so it was probably time! Davis has adjusted just fine, and has been sleeping through the night for awhile now, so he doesn’t need mommy much anymore. He is growing so fast. He has mastered crawling and now wants to stand up and walk around furniture and things. I am not ready for a walker, but he seems determined. He now has 4 teeth, which all appeared at once, poor guy! He eats anything and everything, especially now that he is so on the move and burning more calories he is one hungry boy, I love it. He babbles and grunts at us trying to tell us something all day long and still has that infectious smile and laugh. He is truly a happy baby, and finds his big sister most entertaining. Gianna is getting bigger by the minute too, looking like a real Pre-Schooler this year. She starts school on August 29th and she cannot wait to go back. We have a countdown on the calendar and she asks everyday how many days til school starts! So sweet!! Yesterday she got a hair cut at our favorite spot in Petaluma so she's all ready to go now. Her last day at My Little Farm is on the 28th, I really cannot believe that chapter of her childhood is over, a true big girl going to school 4 days a week now! Wow! Luckily Davis will continue 2 days a week at My Little Farm so we will still get to see Julie and Dick. We love them so much, and Davis loves it there just as much as his sister. Especially the dogs! He is obsessed with Chewy, a Great Pyrenees, and Chewy's affection for him is mutual, they are never far apart!
We have loved our adventures this summer, a couple of River trips with friends, out to the beach, a day at the fair where Davis won 3rd place in the Diaper Derby, time at the park, and many little friend's b-day parties!! I cant believe school is starting in less than 2 weeks, its gone by so fast!
