One week in Santa Rosa.....

Well, we just completed our first week in Santa Rosa NICU. Last week we were transferred from San Francisco back up here. Gianna is doing really well. She is back to her birth weight and she is learning how to breast feed and maintain her temperature outside her incubator. She is a fighter, and all the nurses say she is FEISTY!! Don't know what that means?? :) I of course only see a sweet, clam, precious baby! But they say she knows what she wants and she is very strong. She has pulled her feeding tube completely out of her nose twice and when she was still on oxygen she would rip that off every night!! I think she is just ready to have all these wires and tubes off her little body and get home. The doctors say that once she is able to maintain her temp and feed on her own without the tube she can come home. So, hopefully she will be with us next week.
